Upgrades the data version of the specified EDM (data module) from data version 21 to data version 22.
🍏
NOTE
This operation only applies to exposures (EDMs) on schema version 21.
If your EDM is on schema version 22 or later, there is no reason to run this operation because the issues that existed in schema version 21 were corrected in schema version 22 and all subsequent schema versions. Running this operation on EDMs using schema versions 22 and later makes no real change to the EDM.
Due to an issue in EDM schema version 21, catastrophe modeling workflows using a small set of DLM models returned inaccurate results. To address this issue, Moody's Insurance Solutions introduces the concept of a data version and created a script that would upgrade the data version of exposures in older EDMs (schemaVersion 21) to a data version 22 that was compatible with these models. This script also updated the schema version of these older EDMs from schema version 21 to 22.
The concept of a data version exists solely to address an issue in schema version 21. Two data versions exist: 21 and 22. If the schema version of an EDM is 22 or later, the "data version" of that EDM is irrelevant. For a detailed discussion, see Upgrading the EDM Data Version on Support Center.
The data upgrade is not reversible. Once the data version of an EDM is upgraded to version 22, the data version cannot be downgraded to version 21.
