Overview

The Peril Converter API enables Intelligent Risk Platform tenants to update peril coverage (peril-specific policies and location coverages) in bulk for the location exposures associated with account or portfolio resources.

A location is a property, building, business, or other asset that may be damaged by catastrophe events. Each location exposure is defined by location coverage, which specifies the liability of the underwriter for damages to entities (buildings, building contents, businesses) at a specific location due to catastrophe events of a particular peril type, e.g. earthquake (EQ), fire (FR), flood (FL), terrorism (TR), severe convective storm (CS), windstorm (WS), winterstorm (WT).
