Securables
Use securables to manage access to Intelligent Risk Platform data
Overview
A securable is a logical container of data that is secured by the assignment of groups or owner.
Data adminisrators may control access to data by assigning ownership to securables using the Administration API.
The IRP supports five types of securables:
- Exposure Set
- Program Set
- Business Hierarchy Set
- Share Set
Securables may be created and defined by principals using a variety of API resources.
Administration
Principals assigned the Data Administrator role may administer access to a securable using the Adminisration API.
A data administrator is a principal that has been assigned to a group that has the Data Administrator role.
Data administrators may "manage their storage consumption, relocate data, change data access permissions, change ownership for data entities when previous owners leave companies, and deal with orphaned data."
All access control definitions of the data are maintained at the securable level and all the children of the securables inherits the access control definitions.
Example of a securable is ExposureSet
