November 2024
Highlights
The November, 2024 release of the Location Intelligence API adds updates to the China and Hong Kong Earthquake Loss Cost v22.0 and China and Hong Kong Earthquake Risk Scores v22.0
China and Hong Kong Earthquake Loss Cost v22.0
The China Earthquake Loss Cost v22.0 operation returns loss cost metrics for locations using exposure data, financial details, and loss cost metrics in the most recent China Earthquake Loss Cost data product.
The China Earthquake Loss Cost data product contains predictive earthquake data for China and Hong Kong based on historical data and predictive models. The data distills model data into loss cost values allowing you to fine tune loss estimates by occupancy type.
China and Hong Kong Earthquake Risk Scores v22.0
The China Earthquake Risk Score v22.0 operation calculates risk score metrics for exposures based on their location and building attributes using the China Earthquake Risk Score data product.
The China Earthquake Risk Score data product contains pre-calculated risk scores for earthquakes in China and Hong Kong that are derived from simulated catastrophe event using probabilistic models. A risk score is a value between 1-10 that represents the projected risk to a location exposure.
Using risk score metrics, you can evaluate both the severity of the hazard at a particular location and the vulnerability of buildings to that hazard based on their building attributes (characteristics).
