Scenario Requirements

The Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) and Representative Concentration Pathways (RCPs) are both frameworks used to analyze climate change and its impacts on the economy and financial system.

When submitting an impact scoring request, you must select either an RCP value or an NGFS value. You cannot use both parameters simultaneously. You cannot skip these parameters. You must choose at least one.

The options for RCP2.6, RCP6.0, and all NGFS scenarios only apply when selecting P.2023.2.

The rcp field is now updated to include the following additional options when selecting the P.2023.2 methodology:

  • rcp 2.6
  • rcp 6.0

The new ngfs field includes the following options when selecting the P.2023.2 methodology:

  • ngfs3_net_zero
  • ngfs3_below_2c
  • ngfs3_div_net_zero
  • ngfs3_del_trans
  • ngfs3_ndcs
  • ngfs3_cur_pol
  • ngfs4_net_zero
  • ngfs4_below_2c
  • ngfs4_low_demand
  • ngfs4_del_trans

Deprecated Methodologies

The following methodologies are now deprecated in this release of Climate on Demand:

  • 2023.1 - Hazard Methodology
  • 2023.2 - Hazard Methodology
  • P.2023.1 - Financial Impact Methodology

New Quarterly Result Set

A new quarterly result set has been added to the CoD Corporates APIs in the previous release.

This update reflects changes in the corporate ownership relationships pertaining to the parent corporations in our coverage universe; it captures ownership changes as of end of Q3 2024.

The Q1 2024 result set continues to be available to enable flexible timelines for users to transition to the newest dataset. Due to upstream technical issues, a result set for Q2 2024 was not produced.
