LI Status Codes

Learn how to use status codes to verify standard behavior and diagnose and remedy exceptions.

Location Intelligence indicates the success or failure of an API request with a status code. These status codes are displayed in the message body of the HTTP response.

HTTP response status codes enable you to verify normal behavior and provide context for understanding exceptions.

Location Intelligence uses standard HTTP response codes to indicate the success or failure of an API request.

200 OK

An OK status indicates that the request was successfully submitted and the operation completed.

If a successful API request contains problematic content (e.g. unexpected, insufficient, or nonstandard data), the Location Intelligence API may return a warning code in addition to the status code.

400 Bad Request

A Bad Request status indicates that the request has failed due to a content error. The request may have contained invalid input data.

If an API request fails due to a content error, the Location Intelligence API may return an error code in addition to the status code.

401 Unauthorized
An Unauthorized status indicates that an authentication error has occurred.
500 Internal Server Error
An Internal Server Error status indicates a server error has occurred.
